Ky-Mani
Ky-Mani Marley, one of the richest and most famous Reggae singers was born on 26 February 1976 in Falmouth Jamaica. In the classic cult movie Shottas the actor starred alongside Wyclef. Ky-Mani released his debut album, called Like Father Like Son in 1996. This was later immediately followed with Dear Dad", which was a top-ranked album on the British Reggae chart. Ky-Mani performed with Praswell from Fugees in the song Avenue in 1997. The song was an incredibly hit cover of Eddy Grant's Electric Avenue. Marley was a part of the Midem performance (an international showcase of music) and was first held in Miami. Marley played a live set at the Cameo Theatre, which was broadcast by Caribbean News Agency across 36 countries. Marley was engaged in a bidding war. He signed with Gee Street/V2 Records in 1997 where he completed a collaboration with label mate P.M. Dawn is the singer of Gotta Movin' On Up.
