Kim Delaney was an American actress. The actress is best known for her role as Detective Diane Russell, in the ABC drama series NYPD Blue. For this she received an Emmy Award. Also, she has appeared in shows like All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. Delaney was the sole daughter of a United Auto Workers senior executive as well as a domestic worker was raised with her four brothers and sisters. She dreamed of becoming a court reporter during childhood but started modelling while at high school, eventually earning commercials when she moved to New York.
